Harbour Flights Receives FULL PLANNING PERMISSION!

Fantastic news as Harbour Flights have been granted full planning permissions for seaplane operations at its bases at FOYNES, COBH and GALWAY.

Contracts have also been signed POOLBEG, DUBLIN by Poolbeg Marina.

Harbour Flights Ireland are delighted to announce that commercial Seaplane operations, will commence in Limerick City adjacent to Clarion Hotel, Steamboat Quay, Limerick, By summer 2011.

On Tuesday 15th of February, Limerick City Council reached a decision to grant full planning for the development of Harbour Flights seaplane operation, in Limerick.

Once again Harbour Flights have made history by being the first company to develop a commercial sea base in Limerick

On Thursday the 18^th of November Harbour Flights Ireland Ltd will be continuing their series of trial flights and demonstrating to the planning and government authorities, along with the general public, the ease of operation of its intended commercial sea plane operation which, pending all approvals will come into operation early next year.

At 10.15 AM, the sea plane will land on the River Shannon in Limerick City and taxi up the river as far as the Clarion Hotel where Harbour Flights have lodged a planning application for a commercial sea plane operation from this location. After demonstrating its ease of manoeuvrability on the river the sea plane will then depart and continue its journey to Foynes which will approximately take eight minutes.

Seaplane Trial/Test Flights into Dublin Port 21st September 2010

Harbour Flights Ireland Ltd, are continuing their series of Seaplane Trials into Dublin Port on Tuesday 21^st September at 11am, berthing at Poolbeg Marina.

The purpose of these Seaplane Trial/Test Flight’s is to demonstrate the simplicity and ease of Seaplane travel, to the Dublin Harbour Commissioners and Poolbeg Marina.

Cobh Seaplane Trial Flights 27th August 2010

With full planning permission due out on September 30th 2010 for our opertation in Cobh ,Harbour Flights Ireland had the best weather on Friday 27th August when we began the sea trailing of our Cessna 172 plane, in view of the hundreds of spectators that turned up to witness this histroic event take place in Cobh. Weather conditions could not have being better for this testing period and when all this the go ahead it will no doubt lend further appeal when it comes to attracting tourists into Cobh.

The Mountshannon & Galway sea plane bases have been granted planning, It is a great day for the people of Mountshannon & Galway who have, in allowing Harbour Flights planning application to proceed without further objections. Began a great step in further developing its tourist industry, and placing Mountshannon and Galway on the world map as being the first in the country to have a sea plane operation.
